Not being bought is one reason, but not the only one.
There Isn’t An iPhone 14 Mini, And There Won’t Be a Small iPhone 15 It’s easy to figure out why Apple stops making a product. Apple would make a small iPhone 14 if they thought it would sell well. People who had an iPhone 13 got a small iPhone 13. People who had an iPhone 14 got an iPhone 14 Plus. We expect Apple’s iPhone line-up to change, including a new Ultra tier. A 15-inch iPhone will not happen, and I doubt we will ever see another small iPhone.
What type of phone is this? It’s not the most miniature iPhone when it comes to the screen. That phone, the iPhone SE (2022), is younger than that one. The Apple A14 Bionic chip is the same. Compared to the iPhone 13 mini, which has a 5.4-inch screen, this one is thinner and has a 4.7-inch screen. It’s also more extensive, comprehensive, Heavy, with big sides and a home button that looks like the ones our parents had.
The least expensive iPhone is this one, at $429, £419, or AU$719. SE.Brand-new iPhone 13 minis cost $599, £649, or AU$1049 each. The price hasn’t changed much since it first came out in September 2021. This is the first reason there won’t be an iPhone 15 small.
THE IPHONE 13 MINI WAS TOO PRICEY TO BUY.
It takes a lot to get the iPhone 13 mini. This phone has some good points. It looks and works like the iPhone 13 Pro Max in every way. The iPhone 14 had the same chips, so you know this little phone is fast.
The following year, Apple would only put the A16 Bionic engine in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which cost the most. All 13 iPhones, though, had the same amount of power. The chip in the iPhone 13 Pro and the chip in the iPhone 17 cost the same amount. It costs more to buy these high-end parts.
The bad news is that the screen is smaller, and the battery size is linked to the screen size. It takes the iPhone 13 mini longer to die than its bigger siblings.
Putting the big engine from the sports car into the small car still uses a lot of gas. People expect more from a phone that costs this much. There aren’t many ways to give them more, though. The iPhone mini works on paper and takes pictures like the bigger phones. On the other hand, the screen and battery life are much worse. You don’t feel like you’re getting much for your money when you use it.
THE SCREEN IS WAY TOO SMALL TO BE HELPFUL.
You shouldn’t expect a small iPhone SE 4 from Apple because they probably won’t make another small iPhone mini. Some say the next iPhone SE update won’t come out until at least 2024. Because it looks like older iPhone 8 models, the iPhone SE (2022) is small. When the iPhone SE 4 comes out in a year or two, it will probably look like the current iPhone. Because of this, I think the screen will be more significant—at least six inches.
A little phone is challenging to offer. The iPhone 14 currently costs $799, £849, or AU$1,339. Would you buy a phone with a smaller screen that didn’t last as long for $100, £170, or AU$200 less? That’s more than the last time we bought a small one.
The iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 mini are 7 mm (0.3 inch) smaller than each other. They don’t help because they are both thick.
However, most phones are even more important than the iPhone; you can tell the difference—the Google Pixel 7 costs about the same as a small iPhone 13. The Pixel isn’t terrible, but the iPhone works better. Fun things and great shots are in it.
The screen on phones like the Pixel 7 is also bigger, better, and faster than the screen on the iPhone 13 mini. On the other hand, you get a massive battery. The smaller screen is more see-through because it has almost as many pixels as the bigger screen but takes up less space. You can only use that if you can read the small print.

The iPhone 13 small didn’t sell very well, so Apple made the iPhone 14 Plus its fourth family phone. It seems like the right thing to do. Many news sources say Apple simultaneously got 59% more iPhone 14 Plus screens than iPhone 13 mini screens.
The Plus model likely sells better than the mini model unless the 13 mini got a second wind after the 14 model came out without a mini. The Plus model probably makes the supply chain work better because it uses parts the same size as parts for other models instead of making a whole new shape.
Apple can now charge more for the iPhone Plus. with the bigger screen and still make more money than a tiny iPhone. It gets harder and harder to make the case for a smaller iPhone, primarily from Apple’s point of view.
GET A FOLDING PHONE IF YOU WANT IT SMALLER.
I think a clamshell folding phone like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the smallest and most portable phone you can get. It’s also not as stylish as an Apple phone, but it works well and is small. If Apple does decide to make a folding iPhone, I hope they create the iPhone Flip instead of the iPhone Fold. The Z Flip 4 is wider than the iPhone 13 mini, but it is almost two inches shorter when folded.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is only 6.9 mm thick, while the iPhone mini is 7.4 mm thick. Which means they are not twice as thick. Future phones that fold may look even better. The following Google Pixel Fold is less than 6 mm thick when not folded up, and both sides have more giant screens.
I know it’s not the same as a small iPhone. A small phone needs to be thin. It should be easy to get from one side of the phone to the other, no matter how big your hands are. There isn’t an easy phone for people with small hands, which is a shame. It would be best if the phone could be held in different ways that are more comfy.
Using a slimmer, better-shaped phone will be more straightforward than the bigger Plus models of today. Foldable phones come with many modes, allowing you to access the appropriate buttons quickly. One such mode is the folded camera mode, which places all the controls conveniently at your fingertips.
Since the launch price of Apple spectacles is reportedly skyrocketing, I’ve altered my mind about the company ditching the foldable phone craze entirely in favor of spectacles. If individuals ever replace their iPhones with a wearable, it will be years before they do so. Before then, Apple could need to release a significantly upgraded iPhone.
We could see the first iPhone Fold when folding displays advanced and eventually did away with the unsightly seam that bothered Apple. We may even witness the release of a more inexpensive, smaller iPhone Flip once prices sufficiently decline. Although it won’t be the coveted iPhone mini, Apple will still build it. It will be more compact and have more power.
